*Practice the Fry target words
*Practice the (pink) Read Well page 3-5 times
*Practice the Fry target words
*Read the "Buddy Book" throughout the week. Fill out the progress form after Thursday's homework session. "Buddy Books" need to be returned to school on Friday.
*Students participating in the Accelerated Reader program may read at their own pace. They should, however, take a minimum of one test weekly.
*Math Homework or play a Math Game

Tip
The entire homework
session should not last longer than 25-35 minutes. It should
be fun and stress-free. It shouldn't be a struggle. Mix
the routine up or break the tasks up into smaller segments.
(Try 10 minutes after school; 10 minutes after dinner; 10 minutes
before bedtime or breakfast.) Make some of the activities
into games. Put words on the bathroom mirror and read them
before brushing. Put words on the refrigerator and read them
before snack time. Tape words to the head of the bed and read
them before bedtime. Be creative! Let me know if you
come up with something motivating or fun. Perhaps we can add
it to our website. Hooray!
