Stanley Elementary School


All the classes have PE twice a week, for 30 minutes each session.

Our main objective for all the classes is for students to be active for at least 20 minutes.

PE Routine:

 All the classes walk in to the gym , to their squad.  When they are all there, they do their warmup exercises together.

Warm up exercises are: 

20 Jumping Jacks

two sit and reach hold for 10 sec

20 Knee lifts or Crunchers

10   4 count Mt Climbers

2 sets of Planks hold for 10 sec  4th/5th grade only

10   4 count squat thrust

10 good Push ups modified or Regular  4th/5th only

Cardio Activtity:  

If the weather is nice we jog outside.  Students do not have to race or run fast.  The objective is to get thier heart rate up to improve their Cardio - Respiratory Endurance.  If it is wet and/or cold outside we jog inside the gym, sideline to sideline for about 3 and a half minutes.

Game/Skills Activity:

We will play a Low Organize Game that encourages sportsmanship, cooperation and fair and safe play.We are currently doing tumbling for all the classes
