Following are several opportunities for adults to become involved with Stadium, besides being a parent volunteer:
The SCDM (School-Centered Desicion Making) Committee consists of staff, parents, and students who work together to promote a positive and effective school climate. All meetings are open for attendance whether a member or not. Agenda items deal primarily with academic progress at Stadium and include issues such as policies, student expectations, budget, HSPE testing, student achievement, and staff development. Meetings are held in the Stadium Library from 2:20 to 3:30 PM. Check the Calendar for dates (subject to change). Each meeting's minutes will be posted under the "Documents" tab.
Tiger Pride is an ongoing advisory that meets as needed over the student's four year high school career. These small cohort groups are paired with the same staff member to develop the tools needed to demonstrate their Culminating Project and High School & Beyond Plans by senior year. Progress is shown each spring during the Student-Led Conferences. Please visit the Tiger Pride webpage for up-to-date information.
Stadium Boosters is a non-profit organization supporting all aspects of Stadium life. Although comprised mostly of parents, staff and community members are also welcome to join. Through fundraising efforts in Tigermania, Mocktoberfest, Crab Feed, and the famous "Auction", for example, Boosters is able to grant monies to various departments, clubs, and sports activities.
