IMPORTANT CHANGES MADE TO
THE
ALL-IN RESUME WRITE
As a staff, we
believe it is important for ALL SOTA STUDENTS to prepare for
their post-high future. In an effort to develop our
community’s level of professionalism, all students will
participate this spring in The Next Move. Current
Sophomores and Juniors will continue this post-high work in the
fall semester as preparation for school-wide leadership
opportunities such as January Internships, Varsity Letters of
Community Service, Culminating Projects, International Travel,
etc…
Prior to registration,
ALL SOTA STUDENTS are expected to:
1)
Develop and turn-in one high quality, up-to-date resume that meets
the requirements outlined by The Next Move Department
A)
Sophomores and Juniors will write their resumes with the Objective of earning a position
within the 2013 January Internship Program [SOTA recognizes that
not all students will choose to participate in the January
Internship Program…there are so many amazing opportunities
within our schools!]
B)
Seniors will write their resumes with an Objective that supports their
personal post-graduation plan
2)
Complete the Career Cruising online survey via the link that will
be emailed to each student’s online portfolio
ALL
SOTA and SAMI students will be required to complete a set of
expectations before they are eligible to register for classes for
the 2012/2013 school year. Submitting a professional
resume, completing the online survey through Career Cruising, camp
permission form, proof of camp payment or payment plan from Steve
Kevlin or Ramona Murray-Phillips are all expectations that need to
be completed before students are eligible to register.
Students who fail to complete the pre-registration expectations
will be unable to register until they do so. Once the
registration expectations have been completed, students MUST come
to the Planning Center to get checked off and receive their
registration ticket.
Staff members Alex
Tapia, Brittany Skobel, Alexa Folsom-Hill, and Michaele Sein-Ryan
are available throughout the weeks leading up to April 30th to
support the All-In Resume Write.
