The National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State,
provides merit-based scholarships for eligible high school students and recent high school graduates to learn less
commonly taught languages in summer and academic-year overseas immersion programs.

The U.S. Department of State's Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study Abroad (YES Abroad) program, provides
competitive merit-based scholarships for U.S. citizens in secondary school (age 15-18.5) to study for one academic
year in select countries.  -applications due in October

and learn a language through a full immersion experience. Earn a competitive edge for your college applications.
Learn about German culture first-hand by living with a host family and attending a German high school. Connect to an
elite network of U.S. Department of State program alumni. Embark on an adventure that is unlike any other.

The program is designed for High School students to travel and/or study in a different environment.  Students are sponsored
by Rotary Clubs in Canada and the United States and are assigned to a foreign country to live and study for a one-year period.

Are you ready to embrace new experiences in a new country? STEP (Short Term Exchange Program) provides you with an 
educational experience through exposure to a new language and culture. You will experience a life-changing summer, 
discover a new country, and develop new friendships.
