Homework:

Please Check your student's backpack every night. Reading homework (seperate from the reading log) will be coming home with your student every night. Please have your student read the sheet to you, then sign and return the sheet the next school day. Math papers are completed everyday and sent home. Many math sheets have games that help to reinforce the concepts that the students are learning in class.


Please read with your student every day (you read to them, they read to you, or both) for 20 minutes and record in your reading log. 

There is now a yellow sight word list that has been sent home with the first 50 words for your student to read. Please help your student to memorize the words and once they have the first list of ten words memorized have them come to school and read the list to me. Once they finish the first 50 words they will get a crown and a new list of 50 more words. We'd like the kindergarteners to know at least 100 words by the end of the year. If you lose your list you may download the lists of words by going to the documents page and clicking on the sight words document.
