CAS (creativity, activity, service) is one-third of the core of the IB Diploma Program (along with Theory of Knowledge and the Extended Essay). Students who choose to participate in CAS will seek out a variety of experiences in the three strands of the program. The purpose of CAS is to give students an opportunity to balance their academic pursuits with fun, enriching, out of school experiences. Students participating in CAS might learn to play an instrument, train for a 5k, or tutor younger students who need help.
Students who participate in CAS are juniors and seniors in the IB Diploma Program. Typically students who complete CAS are full diploma candidates, but others can join in as well! If you have any questions or would like to find out more, please contact me!
